LISA STEMPLER, PRESIDENT/CEO
Miami Valley Community Action Partnership
Lisa Stempler began her career in working non-profits and came full circle to lead Miami Valley Community Action Partnership during a tumultuous time. She became CEO of the four-county agency just two weeks before national shut downs due to COVID-19 changed America.
Originally from Cleveland, Ms. Stempler earned her juris doctorate at Case Western Reserve University and joined the staff of the Cleveland Legal Aid Society. She moved to Cincinnati where she worked as counsel for the Women’s Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky for several years. She has also worked as a professor at Mount St. Joseph University and in private practice fighting for the rights of autistic children and their families.
In 2002, Ms. Stempler moved to Dayton to blend her family with her new husband’s. After working in area law firms, she joined Miami Valley Community Action Partnership as the agency’s Montgomery County Director. She was Chief Operating Officer when the Dayton area was struck by devastating tornados in May 2019 and during the turmoil of the Oregon District shooting in August 2019.
She and her husband have four sons and one granddaughter.
